PURE Co-op Announces Date for Annual Stockholders Meeting

The PURE Oil Jobbers Cooperative, Inc. has announced that its Annual Stockholders Meeting is scheduled for the weekend of March 23-25, 2012, at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Kissimmee, Florida. PURE members, along with their families, as well as vendors and friends, are encouraged to Save the Date and make plans to attend.

The annual meeting has been held during the month of November during previous years, but the PURE Board of Directors elected to change the date of the event to allow for a complete review of Co-op activities for an entire calendar year. The organization’s bylaws allow for the Annual Stockholders Meeting to be held within the first quarter of the following year.

“This is an exciting time for the PURE Co-op, so we expect a good turnout for the Annual Stockholders Meeting,” says Frank Dotson, general manager. “We also hope that the industry will take notice of organizational changes and developments that will be well underway by that time.”

During the Annual Stockholders Meeting, PURE members will gather to receive feedback on their financial investment in the Co-op, which should include reports on contracted volumes achieved for the year. The Stockholders Meeting also typically includes updates on supply arrangements from consultants at Professional Energy Management (PEM). In addition, other authorized vendors of PURE products and services will be on hand to share the latest offerings available to PURE members.

The Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center is located 1.5 miles from the front gate of Walt Disney World, and within just a few miles of several other Orlando, Florida theme parks. The hotel has 400,000 feet of flexible meeting space, including a 178,500 square-foot exhibit hall and a 4.5-acre indoor garden.
